Rainy Saturday

Well, yesterday was such a nice day. It was in the upper 70's with a nice breeze. A little warmer than what I think Heaven will be like, but every day can't be perfect, right? I don't like to make too many complaints about the weather, because after all, it is part of God's plan for us to have good and bad weather. However, today I am going to complain. Not because I didn't want for it to rain, we desperately need it here in the "heart of Dixie" (where we are being asked to voluntarily conserve our water). My complaint is what happens as a result of these rainy weekends. Can you guess what happens? Yep you got it~the kids can't go out! They have spent the entire day arguing over the computer, TV, who ate the last granola bar and who had the most out of the box, etc....the list goes on. And if they can't blame each other, they blame me. I mean of course, it would be my fault that Grayson can't find his game boy, since after all I play it all the time (I hope you can hear the sarcasm in my voice)! And why oh why do I have to be informed of every time someone passes gas?!?! I am about to go stark raving mad!!!!!!!!!! Oh the joys of Motherhood! Will I look back fondly of these days? I know that I look back fondly of the days when they were sweet babies, regardless of the sleepless nights and constant stinky diapers. All I can say is that I hope it will all be worth it. I do look forward to being able to say "Son, you and your brother were the same way when you were kids. Payback is cruel!" But, really, I pray that if I have grand kids that they are the perfectly well behaved young ladies and/or gentlemen that I always assumed I would have! And rainy Saturdays in their home will be filled with happiness and love for one another.

You should have sent them out into the rain to play! We had a rough one too, LC has bronchitis, so he's on prednisone; he has turned into "psycho baby".
Sounds like neither one of us have ideal situations right now...

ANd you know you play Grayson's gameboy all the time ;)
